El llegendari Jordi Valls/Vagina Dentata Organ, actiu desde 1983, inaugurarà el festival el divendres a la nit amb una performance excepcional, la quarta a Catalunya i Espanya. La primera generació obrint processos i pavimentant el camí per la generació més nova per mostrar que la Música Experimental segueix viva i trencant esquemes més que mai, i l’àmplia gamma d’actes i idees que es mostraran a través d’aquests 2 dies ho demostrarà sense cap mena de dubte.

Sereu testimonis de performances usant sons creats a partir tant desde miralls trencats, com la trituració de ferralla de metall, l’estàtica de televisors vells, cinta magnètica unint-se en càmeres de carret analògiques, ganivets afilats rascant el cos humà, efectes casolans i modificats i molt, molt més.

Se celebrarà en diverses habitacions al llarg de les 3 plantes del convent, un bell i atmosfèric edifici construït al segle XIX al Berguedà, a una hora de Barcelona, convertit ara en la llar d’una associació cultural/col·lectiu autogestionat i sense ànim de lucre, el nom del qual està inspirat per l’ús previ de l’edifici. En aquesta construcció especial, centre neuràlgic creatiu de l’associació Konvent per a una àmplia gamma d’art, artesania i performance, tot està permès i tot és possible. És el lloc perfecte per celebrar aquest innovador esdeveniment.

Aquest esdeveniment no només és totalment GRATUÏT, si no que també hi ha ALLOTJAMENT GRATUÏT disponible per als visitants de fora de la ciutat. TOTS hi esteu convidats.

Legendary Jordi Valls/Vagina Dentata Organ, active since 1983, will inaugurate the festival on Friday night with a very rare performance, only his 4th ever in Catalonia and Spain, the original generation opening proceedings and paving the path for the newer generation to show that Experimental Music is alive and well and pushing boundaries more than ever, and the diverse range of acts and ideas showcased across these 2 days will prove that beyond doubt.

You will witness performances using sounds created from the smashing of mirrors, the grinding of junk metal, static from old portable TV sets, magnetic tape splicing on analogue reel to reel machines, sharp knives scraped across the human body, from home-made & modifyed effects pedals, tape loops, and much, much more.

To be held in multiple rooms across the 3 floors of the beautiful and atmospheric 19th century built convent building in Berguedà an hour away from Barcelona, which is now home to a self-supporting non-profit arts & culture association/collective who’s name was naturally inspired by the building’s previous use. In this special building, the Konvent association’s creative nerve centre for a wide range of arts, crafts and performance, everything is permitted and everything is possible. It’s the perfect venue to host this ground-breaking event.

Not only is this event completely FREE but there is also FREE ACCOMODATION available for those visiting from outside of town. EVERYONE is welcome.

Nowadays, Chris drums for reformed 80s Goth-Punk band Part 1 and stills DJs regularly in Techno/House and Punk/Post-Punk clubs taking him afar as North America and Japan.
